Safe Places Shropshire team have had a very busy couple of months, visiting many market towns, checking on our Safe Places and signing up new ones. We thank all who have welcomed us to their premises. We have enjoyed being out in Admaston, Donnington, Madeley, Much Wenlock, Newport, Oswestry and St Georges to name a few. We try to share on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter photographs of our new sign ups. From feedback we receive we know our “Welcome” packs are appreciated and the personalised Perspex boxes of “help” cards have equally been met as another positive for those premises joining our scheme.
Sometimes we notice places are not displaying the Safe Place logo in their window. It is very important that our logo is displayed in windows so that people know a place is part of our scheme and they can go in and ask for help. We usually find that the reason for no longer displaying the logo is due to a change of ownership, replaced windows or new window dressing. It is helpful if you can contact us to request a window sticker.

Sometimes places do not want a sticker in their window due to regular changes in window dressing, that is fine and we are grateful to the charity shop who came up with an alternative solution. They could see the value in being a Safe Place so fixed the Safe Place logo onto a piece of card, that can be moved around the shop window and is always visible for people to see. We now have some window stickers that are self-clinging on either side enabling places to move the logo according to whatever display they have in their window. Safe Places Shropshire are always open to suggestions.
