Safe Places Shropshire recently submitted an application to Grassroots Shropshire for funding to enable us to be more inclusive in our work. Although our Safe Place scheme covers the whole of Shropshire, the grant received cannot be used in Telford and Wrekin so we hope to be successful in a similar application to Grassroots Telford and Wrekin.
We would like to thank Community Resource Shropshire for supporting our project, which includes printing some new leaflets, producing videos, a contribution towards maintaining our website www.safeplacesshropshire.com and reimbursing necessary and essential out of pocket expenses to our volunteers.
As our project develops, we will bring you further news about what we are doing, including photographs of our story along the way.
Recently we have refined the map on our website so when searching for the nearest Safe Place to your location or if you are planning a visit to a town, you will notice all our Safe Places are pinpointed more accurately. We have also updated our Google map.
